Middle of March, we were able to go to Amelia Island Plantation in Jacksonville, FL. Michelle had to go down for a Dermatology
conference. And I luckily was able to tag along. This is one of the greatest vacations we have ever been on . Everything was nice,
peaceful, and we did not really want to come home.

Driving through the Plantation, all road were covered with these trees. Not that many cars on the roads, mostly people walking, running, riding golf carts, bikes, and
Segway Scooters. (which we got to take a tour on, but did not take the camera with us.)

The Amelia Island plantation is its own village. This is a shot of the main
restaurant/shop here. We were in town for St
Patricks Day, and there was a live 'one man band' outside on the deck. Good times.

We were in a beach front condo, but between our building and the water was a hole from the golf course, we had to walk through the fairway to go over to the beach, below is a shot walking from the pool area towards the beach.

This is the
Welch's. They were people we can thank for arranging us to stay at this place. Dr
Welch is
Michelles boss. They were fun to be around for the long weekend. You can see their daughter Abby has her face painted like a dog.
